The Supervillain Substitute
Fourth-grader Tyson and his classmates are pros at driving off substitute teachers. But their skills are no match for a guitar-wielding, ugly-sweater-rocking supervillain, who steps in as a sub for the week. He spins musical lessons and crazy experiments that have everyone in the class begging for more—everyone except Tyson.
He's got a mission impossible on his hands: rescue his class and, who knows, maybe even the planet, from the clutches of a mind-controlling sub. However, there's a little problem: Tyson's not exactly known for his honesty. So, when he tries to sound the alarm, everyone thinks it's another one of his tall tales. Just when he's thinking things can't get any worse, his sub starts dating his mom! Can he solve the mystery and save everyone?
The Peasant Scribe Chronicles
Coming July 2024
In a land where your social rank is inked on your arm, it's hard to become more than you were born to be. That's great if you're born with status; unfortunately, Jeremiah's destined to be a tenant farmer.
All eyes focus on Jeremiah after he wins the right to train as a novice scribe. It's unheard of and could be the spark to start a civil conflict. Strangers cheer for him, while those closest to him aren't speaking to him—not his family, not his friends, and certainly not the other novice scribes. A king who's sanity is slipping away has a plan to use Jeremiah. The king instructs a master scribe to let the boy train. The master scribe secretly defies the king's orders. He refuses to let a peasant tarnish the scribes' reputation. Jeremiah is caught in a tug-of-war to prove he deserves all this. It's hard when even he doubts his abilities.
Jeremiah entered the competition to get a few days off work and get the chance to raise his family's status. Now that he has the chance, if he fails, not only will he be sent home, but his family will lose the land they lease. They'll lose everything.
